The Shepherd's Grandaughter

Although I have not read this book but I truly believe that this book should not be pulled out of the competition because I do not think the author was truly tiring to make fun of the Jewish community. I think she wrote this book because she felt this way. I think there should be an organizations that is in charge of these kind of competition. I think the author should decide if this book is suitable for school libraries. Yes, I do think we are old enough to read controversial books and decide for ourselves if this book is appropriate. I would find more information by talking to the author and search the web.
Therefore I believe that this book should not be pulled out of the red maple.

March Break

This years march break was very fun. It would have been funner if it was 2 weeks because the 1 week break goes by so fast. The 1 week break goes by so fast because when you are just about to start having fun the break ends and it is so fast. I believe that the 2 week would be better because students work so hard for half of the year so it would be better if it was 2 weeks.
It would be better because through out the hole year students work so hard so they can get a good marks, and have fun but the fun only lasts 1 week. When I went to my cousin's they were all taking about how fast the march break. The TDSB should take this in serious concederation because if they want students to learn they should make the march break 2 weeks long. One of my fellow class mates"Danny LaRush" said" I wish the march break was 2 weeks so I can have more fun".

Therefore I believe that the march break should be 2 weeks long so kids can have more fun.

Team Canada

Go Canada Go, Go Canada Go, Go Canada Go, Go Canada Go, Go Canada Go, Go Canada Go

The Winter Olympics are here in Canada. Believe it or not Canada has never won Gold at home, but it has changed here in 2010. The first gold medal won for Canada at home, was won by Alexandre Bilodeau. Team Canada's men's and women's hockey team has another good chance at winning gold at home. The men's hockey team has strong players and for many of them they are the captain's of their own teams. We also have young player's and first timers on our team. I believe that Sidney Crosby will make the difference this year, and lead team Canada to another gold medal. We also have another good chance at winning gold because of our goalies, Roberto Luongo, and Martin Brodeur; two of the best that ever played the game of hockey. I believe that at the final game of the men's hockey tournament will be between Canada and Russia and the final score will be 5-3 in favor of Canada

Super Bowl XLIV{44}

The Super Bowl is the most exciting time for many people in the United States of America. This is the time where all the football fans get together and watch the biggest game of the season. Reports say that the Super Bowl XLIV{44} was the most watched event in US history. It is an estimated 93.2 million people watched the Super Bowl on their T.V. The Indianapolis Colts were the favorites to win but an upset victory by the New Orleans Saints, shocked many people. The Saints won 31-17 and also won their first super bowl. I was hopping that the New Orleans Saints would win because the city has suffered alot, mainly because of Hurricane Katrina.

Christmas Break

This Christmas I went to the United States of America. We saw the White House and The Capital in D.C. It was really cool seeing Obama's house.
We started heading towards Florida. We stopped in a city in Florida called Jacksonville to see family members.
The next morning we headed to Orlando,Fl. We went in a five star hotel called Four Points by Sheraton. The next day we went to Universal and Disney World. We went to Magic Kingdom in Disney World.
During New Year's eve we went to Miami. When we reached Miami we went to Miami Beach{South Beach}. It was really amazing.
After new years we headed back to Toronto but on our way we stopped at New York . It was really crowed, and their were lots of people. The funny thing was, there was more taxis then there were people.
I got to say it was really fun but there is no place like home.
